How biofeedback works.
Kina uses surface electromyography (surface EMG) to detect electrical activity associated with muscle activation and translate that information into visual feedback.
What is surface EMG?
Muscles produce electrical activity when they activate. Surface EMG uses sensors placed on the skin to detect electrical signals associated with that activity.
It provides information about detected muscle activity—not a diagnosis of a pelvic floor disorder.
From signal to visual feedback.
Kina translates the detected signal into visual information within the app, so muscle activity that is otherwise difficult to observe can be viewed in real time.
A visual connection
to muscle activity.
Kina uses surface EMG biofeedback to provide a visual representation of muscle activity during clinic sessions and clinician-guided home use.
